6)
Using the two screws (2.5mm hex key
with ball end) attach the spindle nut. To
tighten use a hex key angle (
Fig. 15
).
Ensure that the joystick can be used to
move the measurement head up and
down without resistance.
7)
Remove the dummy cover (Torx 20) from
the new measurement head.

Old Measurement Head:
1)
Place the dummy cover on a table.
2)
Remove the four cover screws (Torx 20)
holding original covers to old
measurement head.
3)
Gently lift the old measurement head by
placing hands as shown and lower into
the dummy cover (located on table).
4)
Tighten the four screws (Torx 20) from
old measurement head to dummy cover.
5)
Place the old measurement head in the
travel case. Attach left dummy cover,
close the plastic bag, insert remaining
padding and close.
6)
Return travel case with old measurement
head to ZEISS.

New Measurement Head (now attached):
1)
Open the ferrite core plastic housing and
fix the MH cables inside.
2)
Reattach yellow grounding cable
(Torx 10).
3)
Reattach the clamp (Torx 20) for USB and
PCIe cable.
4)
Connect MH cables to main control PCB
(USB, power) and interferometer (PCIe – a
slotted screwdriver is required).
5)
Connect the proximity switch and joystick
cable to main control PCB.
6)
The PCIe cable should be held in place
with the cable holder and a new zip tie
can be attached.
7)
Reattach the original covers.
8)
Using the service tool perform standard
use-case 301.
9)
Perform a system checkout in accordance
with the instrument checklist.
