4.4.1 High PA Pressures
Check position and patency of
the cannulas (Sec 4.4.2).
Confirm correct calibration of
sensors (Sec 3.3.8).

flow accordingly via reduction in
rpm settings.

vasoconstriction of the pulmo-
nary vasculature secondary to
hypothermia of the lung and the
perfusate. Strict control of the
PAP and a low flow modality (150
mL/min) will warm up the vascu-
lar tree without endothelial dam-
age and progressively lower PVR.
