Remove 6 to 8 bottles of 

STEEN Solution

TM

 to allow to 

warm up to room temperature.

 

 

Note: As a precursor to the rec-

ommended STEEN Solution

TM

 

Exchange step (Section 4.3.7) 

consider warming half the bot-

tles (3 to 4 bottles) to a normo-

thermic temperature.

 

 

Ensure XPS is plugged into 

the wall outlet. Note: wall outlet 

should be equipped with back-

up power.

 

Turn toggle switch to the up 

position to initiate XPS system 

battery backup and press the 

UPS button. 

 

Start CardioHelp and HCU by 

pressing power buttons for 

each.  Set HCU to 23 degrees. 

Start Touchscreen monitor 

(power button is located on the 

back of the monitor), and Ven-

tilator by pressing power but-

tons for each.
