3.6.2 Rear View and Description
Item Labeling/description Function
1 eSATA eSATA interface for external HDD or RAID systems.
2 V1in - V8 in Optional analogue video input 1-8: BNC sockets for connecting colour or
B/W video. Switching between CCIR/PAL and EIA/NTSC mode is
automatic.
Activation via the optional HYBRID Card 4, each for four inputs
(maximum 2 cards), refer to "HYBRID Card 4 " on page 24.
3 V1out - V8 out Optional analogue video output 1-8: Active loop in outputs - BNC sockets -
for direct connection of additional video systems/monitors.

4 34 pin terminal block Terminal block with screw type terminals: Terminals for power supply,
control inputs, relay outputs, loudspeakers.

5 Ethernet RJ-45 socket: Ethernet interface (10/100 MBit/s)
Primarily provided as the interface to the evaluation network, refer to
"Ethernet and ISDN Interface" on page 22.
6 Transp. data/Control
interface 9 pin Sub-D plug: Transparent data interface (RS-232) for bidirectional
transmission of serial data between CamDisc HNVR and CamControl
receiver unit. The interface is prepared for POS functionality and serial
remote control of certain CamDisc HNVR features.
Note: Pin assignment is detailed in section "Pin assignment and
functionality", refer to "Terminal Transp. data/control interface"
on page 22.
7 IP Camera RJ-45 socket: Ethernet interface (10/100/1000MBit/s)
Primarily provided as the interface to the network of IP cameras, refer to
"Ethernet and ISDN Interface" on page 22.
8 ISDN RJ45 socket: optional ISDN interface (S0 bus) or optional PSTN interface
(analogue modem), refer to "Ethernet and ISDN Interface" on page 22.
Activation via the optional ISDN Card for a B channel or the optional
PSTN Card to connect to an analogue data line.
9 Mic Jack socket: Direct connection of an Electret or of an electrostatic
microphone, refer to "Audio Connections CamDisc HNVR" on page 23.
