Set up the copy job
Similar to a copy machine, the Copier tab (Figure 4–26) provides
controls to set up the copy job. You can also click the Properties
button to specify scanner and page refinement settings. To set up
your copy job:
1. Specify the number of copies.
•
Click in the large number display area, and type the number
of copies.
•
Alternatively, click the
▲
button next to the number display
to increment the number.
2. In the Reduce/Enlarge list box, select the copy size.
Reduce To Fit
automatically resizes the scanned page so that it
will fit within the selected paper size (taking into
account the selected printer’s built-in margins).
50%
reduces the scanned image to half its original
size.
62%
reduces an 11-by-17-inch page to 8.5-by-11 inches
(letter size).
71%
reduces an 8.5-by-14-inch page so that it will fit
onto an 8.5-by-11 inch page.
100%
copies the scanned image at exactly its original
size. Note that, because of limitations of some
printers, a letter-sized document scanned at 100%
may not fit on 8.5-by-11 inch paper. (Use Reduce
to Fit to make it fit.)
150%, 200%,
400%
enlarges the scanned image by the specified
percentage. For example, use 400% to make a
poster. The document prints out on several sheets
of paper that you can tape together.
