The Pagis Pro Search Tool provides versatile tools to find and
access scanned and electronic documents across your entire
Windows file system. This includes hard drives, Jaz™ (and other
removable) drives, CD-ROMs, and shared network locations.
Using the Search Tool, you can define simple or complex searches
to find electronic text files, scanned image files that contain text,
or any file to which you assigned attributes such as Author, Title,
and Keywords.
The Search Tool is only limited by the search index (or indexes)
that you have defined and kept updated on your system.
As described in “Index Manager and Update Tool” earlier in this
chapter, you can define and update one or more search indexes to
reference all scanned and electronic documents on your system.

Basic search steps
The basic steps to conduct a search are as follows:
1. Launch the Search Tool.
You can click the Search button on the Pagis ToolBar, or click:
