Specifies the general record structure of the input data.
Syntax RECORD STRUCTURE = structure-type

RECORD command: Points to note
Note the following when using the RECORD command:
• LTHFLD, OFFSET, FORMAT, and PREAMBLE parameters
The values for these parameters may be overridden if
STRUCTURE is changed as the result of ANSI or IBM OS/
Standard label processing.

length An integer in the range of 0 to the record length that specifies the number of
bytes from the first byte of the tape record to the first byte of the first logical
record
