5.2 Configuration settings list
From the Tools screen, you can set the default value of each setting. The
settings will take on their default values when the power is turned on and
the machine enters the copy mode, when the save energy mode is returned,
or when the [Reset] button is pressed. By setting the frequently used values
as the default values, when you operate the machine you do not need to
make any changes and this means faster and easier operation.
This section explains the settings that you can change from the Tools screen.
See the next section to learn the basic procedure in changing a setting.
The shaded area in the following table indicates the default value of the
setting when the machine is shipped at the factory.
1. Reduce/Enlarge

Use this setting to specify the default zoom ratio. If the default
paper tray is already set to [Auto], the default zoom ratio cannot be
set to [Auto].

Use this setting to specify the default paper tray. If the default
zoom ratio is already set to [Auto%], the default paper tray cannot
be set to [Auto].

Use this setting to specify the default copy density.
For detailed information, see the “5.4 Adjusting the copy density
section.
Use this setting to specify the default color mode.
