Contact your authorized service/support center if you see any startup error
messages on the DocuColor 4 LP/CP Control Panel, or if the DocuColor 4
LP/CP does not reach Ready status.

Troubleshooting during Setup from the Control Panel
The following section explains some error and alert messages that you may
see during DocuColor 4 LP/CP Setup that might not be self-explanatory.
Network Setup messages

Troubleshooting the printer/copier
Means:
The Ethernet network cable is not at-
tached to the connector on the DocuColor
4 LP/CP, or the network cable is not
plugged into the hub or network. If your
AppleTalk network has zones, and you
want to specify a zone for the DocuColor
4 LP/CP, you must connect the network
cable to the DocuColor 4 LP/CP before
performing AppleTalk Setup.
Also could mean that the AppleTalk net-
work doesn’t have zones. Zones are not
required for printing to the DocuColor 4
LP/CP. Press
OK
to continue.
Enable Ethernet in Port Setup before be-
ginning Protocol Setup or Service Setup.
The network hub is not connected to a
Novell machine when the DocuColor 4
LP/CP tries to bind.
No other IPX machine can be found on
the network, or the network hub is not
connected to the network, when the
DocuColor 4 LP/CP tries to bind. When
this occurs, the network number defaults
to zero.
No NDS trees were found on the Novell
network. Check to see that the frame
types on the DocuColor 4 LP/CP are
properly configured.
This message:
No AppleTalk zone found.
You must first enable
a network port.
Invalid frame size.
Warning IPX network num-
ber is zero.
