When TCP/IP network connections are made from Windows NT 4.0 work-
stations, note the following:
•
Make sure you have a valid IP address for the DocuColor 4 LP/CP and for
any workstations that will print to it or run Fiery WebTools.
•
In DocuColor 4 LP/CP Network Setup > Protocol Setup > TCP/IP Setup >
Ethernet Setup, enable TCP/IP and enter the IP address for the DocuColor
4 LP/CP. Also enter the Subnet mask and Gateway address, if they are
used.
•
Make sure your DocuColor 4 LP/CP name and address are listed in a do-
main name services (DNS) or a host name database used by your system.
•
Make sure your system host table includes the correct internal name for
the DocuColor 4 LP/CP as a remote printer/copier.
•
Install the DocuColor 4 LP/CP PostScript and PCL printer descriptions
and the PCL printer driver on the Windows NT 4.0 server (see the User
Guide).
The DocuColor 4 LP/CP PostScript and PCL printer descriptions are pro-
vided on the User Software CD.
•
Repeat the installation for everyone who prints to the DocuColor 4 LP/CP.
Each server and workstation running the WebTools with TCP/IP also needs
the TCP/IP protocol .
