Cleaning the Document Cover Belt
Keep the Document Cover Belt clean at all times. Any white foreign substance on
the surface of the belt may cause the digital press to calculate the actual
document size or its position incorrectly, resulting in an unsatisfactory print.
Clean the belt at the beginning of each day and during the day as needed.
1
Lift the Scanner or DADF Cover.
2
Slightly dampen a clean lint-free cloth with water.
3
Wipe the belt until it is clean. Use another lint-free cloth to dry the belt.
4
Close the cover.
Replacing Consumable Supplies
A message is displayed on the Touch Screen when a consumable item is nearing
the replacement time. Another message is displayed when you must replace
consumable items. The digital press will not run after this message is displayed
until the item is replaced.
You should keep a supply available of the following consumable items:
•
Dry Ink/Toner cartridges in all four colors
•
Fuser Oil
•
An empty Waste Dry Ink/Toner bottle.
•
Charge Corotron Assembly
•
Fuser Web Assembly
A chart later in this chapter provides the part numbers to order.
