Align tabs on the front of the controller board panel with the
slots in the front of the opening; then slide the panel forward
into place (fig. 10.29).
3.
Secure the controller board panel to the printer by tightening
the screws on the back of the panel (fig. 10.28).
4.
Reconnect all interface cables and reconnect the power cable
to the printer and the AC power supply.
Internal IDE Hard Disk Upgrade
The internal hard disk upgrade provides extra space to store
downloaded fonts and allows you to implement the Font Accelerator
and spooling features on your printer. See “Printer Options,” earlier
in this chapter to order this upgrade. See “Font Accelerator” and
“Spooler” in chapter 6 and “Procedures” in chapter 3 (Macintosh) or
4 (PC).
The internal hard disk upgrade can be factory or user installed.
Installation instructions are included with the upgrade.
10/100BaseT Upgrade
You can upgrade the printer’s standard 10BaseT unshielded twisted
pair configuration for the Ethernet port to a 10/100BaseT
configuration. See “Printer Options,” earlier in this chapter to order
this upgrade. See “Connecting to the Ethernet Port” in chapter 2.
This upgrade can be factory or user installed. Installation instructions
are included with the upgrade.
