with a soft sponge or brush.
• Please do not use steel wool or abrasive scour-
ing agents.
• The roasting pan and lid are dishwasher-safe.
However, cleaning in the dishwasher can lead to
discolouration of the silicone and the surface,
although this does not impair the function. We
therefore recommend cleaning by hand.
• Dry the roasting pan and lid thoroughly after
cleaning.
Preparation instructions
Handling hot fat correctly
• Thoroughly dab food dry before frying in hot
fat in order to avoid burns caused by hot oil
splashes..
• Do not overheat the fat.
• Never extinguish burning fat with water. If
possible, use a fire extinguisher to extinguish
the flames or cover with a wet tablecloth in an
emergency.
Deep-frying:
• Fill the roasting pan no more than half way with
suitable fat.
• Do not use a lid when frying food. This prevents
burns caused by fat frothing over.
Tips for frying:
• The roasting pan has an extra-sturdy steel core
and is ideal for flash frying at high tempera-
tures.
• Place the cold roasting pan on the hotplate, add
a little fat and heat at maximum heat.
• Distribute the fat evenly by rotating the pan.
When streaks appear in the fat or it starts to
bubble slightly, add the meat to the roasting
pan and gently press it down.
• Turn down the heat on the hob.
• Wait until the protein has solidified and the
pores of the meat are sealed. As soon as an
appetising golden brown crust has formed, the
meat will detach itself from the base of the pan
by itself and you can then turn it easily.
Information for induction hobs
Please note: induction is a very rapid heat source.
Never heat an empty roasting pan, as it can be dam-
aged by overheating. Cooking at high temperatures
may produce a humming noise. This noise occurs for
technical reasons and does not indicate that your
hob or roasting pan is faulty.
Information for glass ceramic hobs
Keep the cooking area clean, because dirt residues
between the bottom of the roasting pan and the
hob could scratch the glass ceramic surface.
