12. EXAMINATION AFTER SEPARATION
- In the event of a separation, e.g. due to a vehicle driving away while still connected
to the fueling nozzle, a WEH
®
Breakaway coupling, which must be installed separately,
cuts off the connection between the dispenser and the filling hose in a controlled
manner.
Caution:
If you do not use a WEH
®
Breakaway coupling, please follow the
instructions of the respective breakaway coupling manufacturer.
The following points are to be observed in the event of a separation:
Caution:
After separation, pressure is still locked in the filling hose between the
fueling nozzle and the receptacle insert of the WEH
®
Breakaway coupling.
Î
Relieve this pressure according to the instructions in the operating instructions for
your WEH
®
Breakaway coupling. Only once the pressure has been relieved can you
remove the fueling nozzle from the vehicle.
Î
Replace the filling and venting hose between fueling nozzle and breakaway
coupling and between breakaway coupling and fueling station after each separation.
Î
Return the fueling nozzle to WEH for inspection after separation.
Î
Check the WEH
®
Breakaway coupling for damage and leak tightness. If this is not
possible on site, the WEH
®
Breakaway coupling must also be sent to WEH for
inspection.
Î
Inform the vehicle owner that the receptacle in the vehicle should be checked for
damage and proper functioning by an authorized service station.
Î
Check any fueling station components that may have been damaged during
separation.
Î
Please observe the instructions in the operating instructions when putting the
WEH
®
Breakaway coupling back into service.
- Failure to observe these instructions result in the lapse of all warranty and liability
claims against WEH.
