23.4.0.1 Local Display Unit
The Local Display Unit (LDU) replaces the traditional pressure
gauge panel, the thermometers and other instruments.
The operator is able to give all necessary commands with the
buttons existing on the LDU frame.
The LDU reads information from the MCU using MODBUS.
Local Display Unit
The display consists of three different kinds of pages: the main
page, the history page and the status pages. These page types are
described in the following sections.
THE MAIN PAGE
Display of critical engine parameters and engine status information:
Critical engine parameters:

engine speed and load (fuel rack position)

exhaust gas temperatures
Engine status information:
·
engine mode in text (in the lower part of the page)
·
common engine alarm information (in the lower right corner
of the page)

load reduction request information (in the lower right corner
of the page)
