30 Operation
3.1.1 Operating display and floor mode
Four operating methods are at your disposal for the floor cleaning with the
Automatic Electric Brush. The respective operating mode is shown on the display:
LED-Display Operating mode
Bar lit continuously
Automatic hard floor mode
The EB400 Automatic Electric Brush has automatically
detected a hard floor and has changed into hard floor
mode
Fringes lit continuously
Automatic carpet mode
The EB400 Automatic Electric Brush has automatically
detected a carpet and has changed into carpet mode
Bar flashes slowly
Manual hard floor mode
The function key (fig. 3.4) has been pressed on the han-
dle of the Upright Vacuum Cleaner and hard floor mode
has been selected.
To reset to Automatic please switch the VK200 off and
then on again.
Fringes flash slowly
Manual carpet mode
The function key (fig. 3.4) has been pressed on the han-
dle of the Upright Vacuum Cleaner and carpet mode
has been selected.
To reset to Automatic please switch the VK200 off and
then on again.
THE INTELLIGENT FLOOR TYPE DETECTION
The Automatic Electric Brush is equipped with intelligent floor detection. The
Automatic Electric Brush detects the floor type to be cleaned via a sensor and
automatically adjusts the suction process for the different floor types:
Hard floors or carpet.
The Automatic Electric Brush with intelligent floor detection starts when you
switch on the Vacuum System with the main switch.
