91 Troubleshooting
Fault Possible causes and rectification
The DuoClean
switches off on its
own, the operating
display light
“STOP” flashes red
and the Upright
Vacuum Cleaner
switches off at the
same time.
Moisture has been sucked in.
• Switch off the Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
• After the device has dried completely, switch on the Upright Vacuum
Cleaner and close the secondary air flap of the DuoClean.
• It is possible that this step will need to be repeated several times.
When the Upright
Vacuum Cleaner is
switched on, the
operating display
“STOP” flashes
red.
The secondary air flap was activated before switching the Upright
Vacuum Cleaner on.
• Switch the Upright Vacuum Cleaner off and then switch it back
on.
The DuoClean is
making noises.
It is possible that the device has not been closed correctly or that
the cloth holder has not been mounted correctly.
• Check if the side cover is present and properly closed. If not,
reinsert and close the side cover.
• Check the cloth holder is correctly inserted and the green latch
is engaged.
The vacuuming
result of the
DuoClean is
insufficient.
It is possible that the sealing lip frames are dirty and jammed.
• Remove and clean the sealing lip frames as described in chapter
“4.4.1 Checking and cleaning the sealing lip frame” on page 79.
It is possible that the cleaning cloth has been fixed in a diagonal
position on the cloth holder and collides with the sealing lip
frames.
• Check whether the cleaning cloth is evenly fixed on the cloth
holder.
