89 Troubleshooting
Fault Possible causes and rectification
The cleaning per-
formance of the
Carpet Freshener
is significantly
reduced.
There may be cleaning residue from a previous carpet cleaning in
the device, preventing proper functioning of the Carpet
Freshener.
• Clean the dosage container and brush as described in chapter
“3.2.2 Cleaning the Kobold VF200 Carpet Freshener after use”
on page 40.
The dosage of Kobosan active may not have been sufficient, or the
properties of your carpet make it unsuitable for cleaning with the
Carpet Freshener.
• Check whether your carpet can be cleaned with the Carpet
Freshener.
• Check whether the dosage of Kobosan active was sufficient as
specified in chapter “3.2.1 Carpet cleaning with the Kobold
VF200 Carpet Freshener” on page 35.
After brush clean-
ing, the device does
not work any more.
The Carpet Freshener is not properly connected to the Upright
Vacuum Cleaner.
• Check if the plug connection between the Carpet Freshener and
the Upright Vacuum Cleaner is correctly engaged .
The foot switch was not adequately pressed to start dosage of
the Kobosan active.
• Activate Kobosan active dosage with the foot switch .
