3. If you have settings on the device already and want to move them across to the new
installation, make sur
e you check the “
Save Device Settings
” box.
It will back up your
settings and restore them once the firmware update is completed. All this will happen
automatically without further interaction.
Be aware:
This option will overwrite a backup you might have already made. If you would like to
hold on to a current backup, leave the box unchecked. This will allow you to restore
to your earlier backup after you have finished updating the software. Alternatively you
can copy your SD card content before you proceed with the update, then check the
tick box when updating. This way you have:
x
Your earlier backup in your copy location and
x
The recent backup on your SD card after the update. (Also your system will
have the same settings after the update as it had just before the update.)
4. Please provide the
Admin Username
and
Admin Password
. If you have not changed
them (which is recommended) by default they are:
a. Admin Username: admin
b. Admin Password: adminpw
5. In order to update the firmware, you then need to find the zip-file containing your new
firmware:

6. Eventually click the [Start Update]
–
button. If all correct the software will show you a
progress window as shown below:
