24 Introduction
The fixed label for the left-most output on slot 13 is Slots.slot13.out1
The input numbering starts from 1 and continues to the number of inputs on that card.
Likewise, the output numbering starts at 1 and continues to the number of outputs on that
card. So an input card in the first slot with four connectors would be slot1.in1, slot1.in2,
slot1.in3, and slot1.in4, while an output in slot 14 with two connectors would be
slot14.out1 and slot14.out2, labeled from left to right.
These names may also be abbreviated to the first initial, so in the examples above, the
inputs could also be s1i1, s1i2, s1i3 and s1i4 while the outputs would be s14o1 and
s14o2. These are the default labels in the software unless you change them.
Slot aliases must be unique strings. If you change a slot alias to be the same as another
slot (for example, rename s1i2 to be "s1i1"), after saving the name, the original slot with
that name will now have a blank name field. You would then need to rename the blank-
named slot to a unique alias.
