Editing Vertical Back Porch Property from Command Line
Learn how to set the timing interval for the
Vertical Back Porch
for a Custom Resolution via
the command line.

Description
The
Vertical Back Porch
is the gap between end of the
Vertical Sync Pulse
and the
beginning of the Active Video in pixels.
Example
Resources.Resolutions.Resolution1000.VBackPorch = 15

The valid range of values is 1 to 100.
For a valid Custom Resolution, you must configure this property to a value within the valid
range.
To calculate the
Vertical Front Porch
,
Vertical Sync Pulse
and
Vertical Back Porch
for
an interlaced resolution, double the value of the even field. Interlacing standards are
designed this way in order to present the values in a similar format to Progressive values.
Interlaced
Custom Resolutions require that the
Vertical Back Porch
is twice the even field.
For example, a
Vertical Back Porch
of 69 gives:
Odd field:
34
Even field:
34.5
In the CORIOdiscover Resolution Editor, the
Pixel Clock
is not affected by any changes to
the
Vertical Back Porch
. However, the Vertical Frequency read-only field varies based on
Vertical Back Porch
changes.
