Troubleshooting - CORIOdiscover Doesn't See Device
The CORIOdiscover program finds any CORIOmatrix units located on the same subnet
(even if the network is just your PC and the CORIOmatrix connected directly by an Ethernet
cable).
If you are trying to connect to your CORIOmatrix using the CORIOdiscover application but
your CORIOmatrix does not appear in the list of discovered devices, follow these steps to
troubleshoot the issue.
1. If possible, verify that the CORIOmatrix you are trying to connect to is running the
latest firmware. If the unit is running older firmware, it will not be compatible with the
CORIOdiscover application. Install the most recent available firmware on the
CORIOmatrix and then connect it to the network again.
2. Ensure that both the computer and the CORIOmatrix are on the same subnet, and
that your router is not blocking any UDP ports as these are needed for
communications with the device.
3. Check your Windows Firewall settings and make sure that CORIOdiscover is not
blocked.
To do this;
a. Go to
Control Panel
>
Windows Firewall
.
b. Choose
Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall
.
c. Find CORIOdiscover in the list and add a checkmark to allow it
d. Click
OK
to save changes.
