b) Because a cable connector will be connected to the rear of the robot controller, a
space of at least 110 mm is necessary in the rear direction.
To perform maintenance of the robot controller, remove the upper cover. (See Fig.
6.4.)
When installing the robot controller, make sure that the maintenance of the robot
controller can be done without any problem. Especially when the robot controller
is stored in a rack, it will be necessary to take out the robot controller from the rack
for maintenance.
The following items must be taken into account:
1) Cable installation in the rear of the robot controller (Cables must be installed in such
a way that the robot controller can be pulled out easily.)
2) Cable installation between the robot controller and the control panel when the
control panel is detached
3) Keep the robot operable by connecting all the cables even when the robot controller
is taken out of the rack.
