12. Install the battery negative cable to the battery.
13. Test operate engine; adjust choke and throttle cables
as required. Check engine low and high idle are to
specification.

Removal
Note: If welding on an EFI equipped machine, be
sure to disconnect the negative ground cable
on the battery and disconnect the ECU.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the
battery.

3. Loosen and remove the bolt, spacer, spring, and nut
retaining the air cleaner assembly to the air cleaner
bracket (Fig. 202).

2. Loosen the hose clamp on the air intake hose (Fig.
201).
