ELECTRICAL
PARK BRAKE SWITCH
Purpose
The purpose of the brake switch is to ensure the
machine is in neutral and the parking brake is applied
before attempting to start the machine.
The park brake switch is located on the left side of the
operators below the left motion control handle (Fig. 334).

1. Disconnect the switch from the wiring harness.

In the start position it is used to ensure the park brake is
“ON”. At the same time it allows current to flow through
for the safety circuit. When the park brake is released in
the “OFF” position it bypasses both neutral switches as
long as the operator is in the seat thereby maintaining
current for the safety circuit (Fig. 335).
