6. Remove the tie strap securing the choke/throttle
cables to the bracket located on the valve cover (Fig.
162).

7. Turn the fuel shut off valve OFF. Remove the fuel
line hose clamp at the engine and remove the fuel
line (Fig. 163).

9. Remove two red cables from the starter solenoid
(Fig. 165).

8. With a pry bar, relieve spring tension on the idler
assembly and remove pump drive belt (Fig. 164).
