3. Loosen the throttle and choke cable clamps and
disconnect both cables (Fig. 183).

1. Remove the battery negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the air cleaner cover (Fig. 182).
Note: This engine has a standard air cleaner cover.
If engine is equipped with a heavy duty air
cleaner assembly, remove the complete air
cleaner assembly.
4. On the right side of the engine, next to the engine
oil filter, is the oil pressure sending unit. Remove the
wire from the sending unit (Fig. 184).
