Other application commands
„ Edit command
This command is used to edit the name and IP address of the device
selected in the main window.
This command will only be enabled if a device has been selected.
1. Select the device.
2. Select the Edit... command in the shortcut menu.
„ Remove command
This command is used to delete the selected device from the main
window.
1. Select the device.
2. Select the Remove... command in the shortcut menu or click the
Remove button.
„ Update All... command
This button on the Devices page is a shortcut command that is equivalent
to Select All + Full Update .
Status messages
The following status messages may be displayed in the Status column
on the Devices page.

Status messages Indications
Connecting... A socket has been opened to set up a
session with the Encoder.
Logging... The session is open. The connection
name has been sent. The application is
waiting for a reply from the Encoder.
Read topology... The Encoder topology read command
has been sent. The application is
waiting for a reply.
Get SW versions... The bank content identification
command has been sent. The
application is waiting for a reply.
Get SW versions (2nd attempt)... The first attempt at reading the
software release has failed. The
application is trying again.
