7. Look inside the endcap and use a T10 Torxhead screwdriver to remove the two screws
holding the ion guide to the ion guide clamp.
8. Remove and replace the ion guide clamp.
9. Slide the ion guide and entrance endcap back onto the rods and exit endcap.
10. Reattach the ion guide and quadrupole to the analyzer tray. Make sure the quad and ion
guide are fully forward before tightening screws.
11. Reattach the screws on each side of the quadrupole rod endcaps
12. Attach the wire connecting the quadrupole entrance lens to the source interface board by
screwing in the terminal with a slotted screwdriver.
13. Once the components are correctly attached to the analyzer tray, follow the instructions
in
14. Restart your system by following the instructions in
Figure 142.

Tip
You will get better signal if you gently push the quadrupole rod endcaps toward one
another while tightening the screws.
