Insert the UNI BlueAdapter in the hang-up cup of the hands-free set (FSE). If you connect now the power
supply of the FSE, the UNI Blue adapter will also be activated. A long signal (profile "Hands-free operation")
or two short signals (profile "Headset") are audible. If the profile "Hands-free operation" is active, the
BlueAdapter tries for 10 seconds to establish a connection to the last connected mobile phone. When the
profile "Headset" is active, the UNI Blue adapter is waiting for a signal coming from a mobile phone.
If you wish to establish a Bluetooth connection for the first time, you have to activate the Bluetooth function
of your mobile phone and search for Bluetooth devices. In this case search for a device labeled
"THBBTPAD". If several devices were identified, please select the UNI Blue adapter and enter the PIN
number 1234. The Bluetooth connection (interconnection) will then be established between your mobile
phone and the UNI Blue adapter.
If it is not possible to establish a Bluetooth connection, the profile "Hands-free operation” which has
probably been set by default has depending on your mobile phone - to be switched to the profile "Headset”.
For that purpose please press the right key for 3 seconds. The right LED starts to blink, two deep signals will
be heard (profile "Hands-free set"). If you press the right key again for 3 seconds, two higher signals will be
audible. The BlueAadapter then connects to a mobile phone with the profile "Headset". If a connection has
been set up, the left diode blinks red. If it is not possible to establish a connection, please check and update
the software release of your mobile phone.
If you have questions with regard to the menu navigation, functions and operation of your mobile phone,
please refer to the operating guidelines of your mobile phone. Depending on the manufacturer and type,
this considerably differs from each other.
When other mobile phones were connected to the UNI BlueAdapter, e.g. when different drivers used it, it
might be necessary to re-establish the connection. To this end select the appropriate profile for your mobile
phone on the UNI BlueAdapter and re-establish the connection of the devices.
The profile selected last on the UNI BlueAdapter is stored. Another important precondition for the
establishment of a Bluetooth connection is that the active mobile phone has to be in a radius of
approximately 10 metres.
If you wish to cancel a Bluetooth connection, you can either disconnect it conveniently at the UNI
BlueAdapter or at your mobile phone. In addition, the connection is disconnected, if you move too far away
from the vehicle while taking your mobile phone with you and thus leave the reception radius of the UNI
BlueAdapter or unplug it from its station of the hands-free set.
If you disconnect the power supply of a Plug & Play hands-free set by unplugging the cigarette lighter jack or
the fixed installation device, an active Bluetooth connection is also disconnected.
Please note that the capacity of your mobile phone's storage battery can quickly decrease when the
Bluetooth function is active. If you do not want to use the Bluetooth function anymore, e.g. if you leave the
vehicle for a longer period, it is recommended to deactivate this function.
In order to be able to use the voice dialing functions of your mobile phone with the UNI BlueAdapter, the
phone numbers must have been marked previously on your mobile phone in a corresponding way.
