Subnet Mask
A bit mask used to identify which bits in an IP address correspond to the
network address and subnet portions of the address (also known as
address mask).
T1
A digital data stream defined as 24 independent channels processed
simultaneously over two wire pairs at an aggregate speed of 1,544,000
bits per second.
Transmit Digits
DTMF digits that the Edge sends digitally to provide routing
information, as in DNIS operation for the equipment under test.
Upgrade
Refers to adding software modules (TSP-PRI, TSP-2PRI or TSP-ATS)
to the Edge or to installing a more recent version of the Edge software.
Wink Start
Digital T1/E1 channel protocol that uses an off-hook condition to
indicate to the network that the CPE recognizes a connect signal from
the network and is ready to receive address signals.
