Overview of Advanced Features
In addition to the call processing features described in the
“Basic Operation” section, the
Teleco
r Display Phone
Model 200 (DP200) provides you with powerful advanced
call processing capabilities. This section describes the
advanced features, and explains how to customize your
DP200 Display Phone.
Many of the call processing features described in this
section are performed by using the 12 customizable
Feature buttons. Each Feature button has a system default
setting that you can change for your station using the
Feature button programmer. For more information, see
“Customizing Feature Buttons,” page 34.
Note
Check with your system installer to see if any
changes were made to the system default settings.
Blind Call Processing
The DP200 Display Phone gives you the ability to decide
what to do with your calls. “Blind” call processing means
that you do not have to answer a call to use the DP200
Display Phone features.
Blind call processing is performed only by using the
customizable Feature buttons on the DP200 Display
Phone. If you changed the settings for your Feature
buttons, you may need to reprogram them or blind call
processing features will not work. For more information
on programming a Feature button, see “Customizing
Feature Buttons,” page 34.
Blind Hold
Blind Hold enables you to put a call on hold without
answering it. If you are connected to a call on Line 1, for
example, and a second call rings at your station on Line 2,
you can place the second call on blind hold.
