Cordless Phone and Modem Port
The DP200 Display Phone is equipped with a port that you
can use to plug in a 900 MHz cordless phone or a modem.
•
Both the cordless phone and your DP200 Display
Phone ring when you receive a call.
•
Plug your modem into this port and your com-
puter can process data or dump information.
Note
You can’t use your phone and modem simulta-
neously. Disable Call Waiting tones or turn on Do
Not Disturb to prevent a second call from interrupt-
ing your modem connection.
To pick up a another line while using your cordless phone,
press

+

+ the number of the line you want to
pick up.
Disabling Call Waiting Tones
Call Waiting tones alert you of a second call when you are
connected to a call. By customizing a Feature button for
Call Waiting On/Off, you can enable or disable Call
Waiting tones.
To disable Call Waiting tones, complete the following
steps:
1. Press the Feature button customized for Call
Waiting On/Off. You do not need to pick up the
handset.
2. Press the
B
Feature button to show the Feature
Status display for Call Waiting tones.

When Call Waiting is off, CWT is followed
by a – sign. See Figure 10.
