Engine room side When clutch is disengaged. Clutch bearing failure. (roller)
Contact and slipping by airgap failure.
Idle pulley bearing failure.
Deflection of V-belt.
Repair
Refer to "Car air conditioner
system diagnosis table II".
Phenomenon and diagnosis result Cause Remedy
Loosening of screws.
When clutch is engaged, abnormal sound is heard. Valve damage and scroll damage.
Gasket blowout.
Internal abnormal sound.
Shaking caused by V-belt deflection.

Repair

Repair
Note 1. Do not judge dirt around the clutch and gasket to be a leakage.
Some blot of oil will be seen due to the sealing mechanism.
Oil blot will not cause any problem in the mechanism.
Therefore, judge whether it is leakage or oil blot accurately.
Note 2. Though a natural leakage from rubber hose is occasionally detected
in the high sensitivity range of gas detector according to the condition;
There is no problem when using the standard rubber hose.
(However, a hose failure should be considerable if leaking abnormally much.)
Note 3. When running the compressor for 10-15 minutes in idling, the pressure difference
of high and low pressure will be 490 kpa (71 psi) or less, and the high and low pressure will be balanced
within 10 seconds when the clutch is disengaged.
