8. Fix the boom telescoping cylinder to the base
boom section with a pin.
Put a retaining ring to the pin.
[NOTICE]
Make sure the retaining rings are securely put in
place and the pins are secured.
9. Poke the upper ends of the wire ropes for
extending the 3rd boom section with a bar to
make them touch the support A.
Pull the lower wire ropes at the same time until
the lower rope ends come out of the boom as
much as shown in the figure below.
10. Pass the ends of the wire ropes for extending the
3rd boom section through the opening at the rear
end of the base boom section.
11. Pass the wire ropes for extending the 3rd boom
section through the opening for the support at the
rear end of the base boom section.
And install the support to the base boom section.
[NOTICE]
Install the wire ropes with the chamfered surface of
the fitting placed at the bottom.
