9. Pull the adjuster assy to the front end of the 2nd
boom section and place it on the 2nd boom
section.
[NOTICE]
Pull the adjuster assy while keeping it straight.
(Refer to the figure for step 5.)
To protect the boom, spread a sheet of corrugated
cardboard under the adjuster assy.
10. Put the support B on the cylinder tube and insert
the boom telescoping cylinder into the boom to
the point as shown in the figure below.
(Mass of the cylinder: approx. 600 kg (1325 lbs))
[NOTICE]
Be careful not to pinch the wire ropes for extending
the 3rd boom section between the boom
telescoping cylinder and the boom.
Be careful not to drop the side with the support A in
the boom. If the wire rope is dropped in the boom,
the cylinder has to be drawn to return the wire rope
to its original state.
11. Fix the support B to the 3rd boom section with
bolts.
12. Fix the support A to the rear end of the 3rd boom
section.
[NOTICE]
To make room necessary for this work, slacken the
wire rope for retracting 4th boom section and put it
to the end of the 2nd boom section.
13. Remove the tool A from the rear end of the boom
telescoping cylinder.
