This is the community string (password) used for the request. It should match the config-
ured SNMP agent settings. The default value for write access is “private”.

This is the IP address for the device.
sysName.0
This is the OID for the parameter to change. Since we read a scalar value, we need to add
.0
to the OID from the MIB. Note that it is legal to use a numerical OID in this list; the
OID must match the parameter definition in the MIB file.
s “New name”
This is the parameter type and value. We use “s” to indicate a string and “New name” is
the actual string value. The type should match the type defined in the MIB file.
