Signalling

This drop down selects the default signalling of components configured to be scrambled.

Service

Scrambling will be signalled only as a CA descriptor on the program level of the
PMT.

Comp.

Scrambling will be signalled only as a descriptor on the component level of the PMT

Both

Scrambling will be signalled on both the program and component level of the PMT.

Below the default values is a table mostly identical to the table on the

Components

tab. The

precedence is also equal, meaning that a PID rule overrides a Tag rule which in turn overrides
the default value. The last three columns in the table are different. They show the values of the
component scrambling parameters as described in

Section 8.7.2.6.4

Fast short-cuts to configure PID rule mode and signalling parameters for components are avail-
able by right-clicking the components to which a rule should be edited and select the desired
