• Perform the following final assembly checks to ensure
proper and safe operation.
– All parts removed have been returned to their
original positions.
NOTE
When the throttle body is replaced, the TPS
calibration is necessary before starting the
engine.
Refer to “Throttle Position Sensor
Calibration” in Section 1C (Page 1C-9).
Throttle Body Inspection

CAUTION
Do not try to adjust or remove any of the
throttle body component parts (MAP /
Throttle position / IAT sensor, throttle valve,
throttle stop screw, etc.).
These components have been factory
adjusted to precise specifications.
• Clean throttle body bore by compressed air.
• Check that throttle lever and throttle valve moves
smoothly.
• Replace throttle body if necessary.
Intake Manifold Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Relieve fuel pressure.
Refer to “Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure” in Section
1G (Page 1G-15).
2) Disconnect battery cables from battery.
3) Remove both lower side covers.
Refer to “Lower Side Cover Removal and
Installation” in Section 2A (Page 2A-3).
4) Remove the ring gear cover.
Refer to “Ring Gear Cover Removal and Installation”
(Page 1D-2).
5) Remove the air intake silencer case.
Refer to “Air Intake Silencer Case Removal and
Installation” (Page 1D-4).
6) Remove the throttle body (1).
Refer to “Throttle Body Removal and Installation”
(Page 1D-10).
7) Remove the fuel injectors (2) and fuel delivery pipe
(3).
Refer to “Fuel Injector Removal and Installation” in
Section 1G (Page 1G-24).
