9.1 Recommended spray parameters for Sulzer Metco wire arc spray
systems
Please consider:
- The parameters in this chart are just for orientation. Depending of the coat’s character parame-
ters can be modified.
- The spray amperage has to be adjusted depending on the desired output. The higher the
amperage the higher the output.
- You have to to care that a faultless melting behavior of the wire is guaranteed, which means to
adjust the operating voltage as needed.
- Small and thin-walled workpieces should be sprayed with reduced amperage to avoid high
thermal stress inside the coating.
