4 Operating and Maintaining the Printer

Important:
The scanner platen and transparencies used in this procedure
must be absolutely clean, without scratches, fingerprints or other marks. If
necessary, use a suitable glass cleaner and cleaning cloth, and always wear
gloves when handling these items.
Printing a Transparency
1. Start the Color Uniformity wizard from the
Options
menu.
2. Click
Next
to begin.
3. In the following screen, continue as follows:

To print a transparency sheet for analysis in the Color Uniformity Utility,
select
Print transparency
and click
Next
.

To enter correction values that you obtained from an earlier analysis
without printing a transparency, select
Enter correction values
and click
Next
.
❒
To activate or deactivate the correction values that you have entered at an
earlier time, select
Activate/Deactivate uniformity correction
and click
Next
.

4. Put on protective gloves.
5. Make sure that the build tray is empty and clean.
6. Place the blank transparency sheet flush against the rear and left edges of
the tray (landscape orientation).
