Foot protection sensors
Function of the foot protection sen-
sors (OPX-L 20 S)
The foot protection sensors (1) are only instal-
led on truck variants with a pantograph lift.
They are located on both sides next to the
lower fixing point of the pantograph lift on the
truck.
In
Assistance
mode, the operator can low-
er the forks with the remote control. When the
fork carriage is raised, the foot protection sen-
sors check the area under the forks.
If an obstacle is detected in this area, the truck
will not set off or will respond with an emer-
gency stop. This protects the feet of the oper-
ator from being driven over by the load castors
of the forks.
However, the operator can still lower the forks.
The warning signs (2) tell the operator to keep
their feet away from the area around the pan-
tograph lift at all times.
WARNING
Risk of injury in areas not covered by the foot protec-
tion sensors
The area between the forks and the area above a lift
height of 50 cm are not covered. There is a risk of in-
jury in these areas.
–
Do not enter the area between the forks.
–
Keep hands and feet away from the mechanism of
the pantograph lift.
