9.3.2 On the LCD Handset and the Locking Box
This function can be activated on both control units on the "Easy Care" level. For detailed instruc-

9.4 Setting the Auto Contour Position
In the auto contour position UP, the backrest initially and immediately afterwards the thigh rest are
raised.
When auto contour DOWN is set, the backrest, and then 5 seconds later the thigh rest, are low-
ered. This prevents the patient from sliding towards the foot end of the bed.
If the thigh rest or backrest is locked, this function cannot be selected.
With the “fixed
headboard” model variant, the maximum adjustment range of the backrest at a high
mattress base height is reduced in order to maintain a comfortable minimum clearance
to any patient lifting pole that may be
used. An additional “LIMIT”
indication on the dis-
play panels shows that a limit is active during adjustment.
9.4.1 On the LCD Handset
1 Select auto contour using the toggle but-
ton.
2 Press the UP button to set the bed to the
auto contour position.
Press the DOWN button to move the actuators back to the normal position.

1 Select auto contour using the toggle button.
2 Press the UP button to set the bed to the
auto contour position.
Press the DOWN button to move the actuators back to the normal position.
