14.5 Replace LCD Handset

If possible, adjust the bed to its highest position to make work easier.
2 Unplug the mains cable.
3 Take the retaining ring out of the handset socket (either from the socket itself or from the
interposed under bed light (optional) under the centre of the mattress base).
4 Disconnect the LCD handset plug from the control unit.
5 Insert the new LCD handset plug into the open socket as far as it will go. Make sure that
the plug is correctly aligned (plug groove aligned with the protrusion in the socket).
6 Make sure that the O-ring on the plug is not damaged. This ring ensures that the plug is
tightly sealed.
7 Re-attach the retaining ring.
8 When routing the LCD handset cable, ensure that it cannot be damaged by any moving
parts of the bed.
9 Programme the LCD handset (see Programming the LCD Handset »140 ).
10 Test the function of the power adjustments!
14.6 Replacing the Control Panel
1 Unplug the mains cable.
In order to close the gap, the integrated control panel is fitted inside (through the control
panel) with a plastic locking device.
2 First of all, take the locking device out of the gap using (for example) a screwdriver.
The locking device can be disposed of since the control panel is supplied with a new one!
3 Loosen the 2 screws with a long star handle screwdriver.
The two screws can be disposed of since the control panel is supplied with new screws!
4 Press the integrated control panel out from the inside of the bed, and take it out together
with its cable.
The cable is provided with pull out protection!

Press the pull-out protection together and pull the cable out of the control panel.

Install the new control panel in reverse order.
Ensure that the new locking device and the new screws are fitted.
