9.2.2 On the Control Panel (Outside)
For the Protega safety side, medical staff can lock or unlock the following adjustment functions on
the (outside) control panel, once they have switched to the second control level:
Adjustment function Symbol Released function Symbol Locked function
Backrest
Thigh rest
Sitting position
Height adjustment

An example of locking and unlocking backrest adjustments is shown below. All other ad-
justment functions are carried out in the same way as shown in the example below.
1 Press the settings button. The CPR sym-
bol appears on the display.
2 Use the toggle button to select the function
and status that you wish to lock. On the
display, an opened padlock will appear
above the symbol for the released adjust-
ment function.
3 Press the DOWN or UP button. A closed
padlock will appear above the symbol for
the adjustment function. This adjustment
function is now locked.
To unlock the adjustment function, press the UP or DOWN button again.
