6 Select the initialisation function by press-
ing the UP button.
7 Press the UP button on the LCD handset.
The height adjustment drive symbol will
appear on the display.
8a For standard beds: Press the UP
button until the bed is raised to its full
extent.
During the adjustment procedure, a
signal tone indicates that a reference
run is being carried out.
8b For beds with a fixed headboard: Press
the UP button until the bed is raised to its
full extent and then let the mattress base
automatically move back down a little way
until it automatically comes to a stop.
During the adjustment procedure, a signal
tone indicates that a reference run is be-
ing carried out.
Note: Do not release the button while the
bed is moving, otherwise the process will
not finish correctly!
9 After the reference run has been com-
pleted, the Lift Drive OK symbol ap-
pears.
Confirm this by pressing the UP but-
ton.
10 The padlock symbol appears on the dis-
play. You can now enable the functions
you wish to unlock for the patient
