8.

Any hose NOT connected to an instrument
MUST be removed before docking baskets in
the carrier. To detach a hose from a port, push
the retaining clip tab until the hose connector is
released, then pull the hose connector out of
the port.

WARNING

Hoses and instruments should NEVER extend outside the limits of a basket.

l

ALWAYS make sure that instruments are located correctly in a basket.

l

ALWAYS remove all unused hoses from baskets before docking into the
carrier.

l

ONLY use the hoses and connectors supplied with a basket type, and
DO NOT mix and use hoses from other baskets.

Xi Basket — Unloading

IMPORTANT

Before unloading instruments, inspect the basket for any connectors that may
have detached from instruments. A detached connector during the wash
cycle can result in an instrument that may NOT have been cleaned or
disinfected satisfactorily.

Any instruments where a connector may have detached should be
reprocessed.
