6.5.7 Si Multi Basket — Unloading Instruments with Attached
Adapters
IMPORTANT
Before unloading instruments, inspect the basket for any instruments that
may have detached from nozzles. If adapters have been used, make sure
they have NOT detached from either the instrument shaft, or a basket
manifold. An instrument detached from a nozzle or an adapter may NOT been
cleaned or disinfected satisfactorily.
Any instruments that may have detached from a hose or nozzle
should be reprocessed.
1. Push the release tab on the basket flush
port to release the adapter hose. Pull the
hose to disconnect it from the basket flush
port.
2. Pull the instrument body off of the nozzle.
3. Lift the body of the instrument up above the
basket, then pull the instrument shaft out of
the basket support.
