sich zu interessanten Klangveränderungen nut-
zen.

5.13 Pitch Bend – Takt zwischen 2 Musik-

stücken angleichen

Mit den Tasten PITCH BEND (17) lässt sich der Takt
eines Titels auf dem Laufwerk 1 an den Takt eines
Titels auf Laufwerk 2 anpassen (synchronisieren)
oder umgekehrt. Dadurch wird beim Überblenden
von einem zum anderen Titel der Rhythmus beim
Tanzen nicht unterbrochen.
1) Zuerst mit dem Regler PITCH CONTROL (29) die

Geschwindigkeit des laufenden Musikstückes an
die Geschwindigkeit des zweiten Musikstückes
angleichen. Dazu am besten für beide Laufwerke
den Beatcounter mit der Taste BPM/TAP (27)
einschalten (Kap. 5.2.2) und dann mit dem Schie-
beregler die gleiche Anzahl der Taktschläge auf
beiden Laufwerken einstellen (Kap. 5.12).

2) Mit den Tasten PITCH BEND die Taktschläge bei-

der Musikstücke genau übereinander legen: So-
lange die Taste + oder - gedrückt gehalten wird,
läuft der Titel 16 % schneller bzw. langsamer.

3) Durch Drehen des Drehrads (21) kann ebenfalls

eine Geschwindigkeitsänderung zur Taktanpas-
sung erfolgen.

5.14 Bedienung des Samplers

Der Sampler dient zur Speicherung und Wiedergabe
eines Titelausschnitts von bis zu 40 Sekunden. Der
gespeicherte Ausschnitt lässt sich z. B. als Klang-
effekt mit einer beliebigen Titelwiedergabe mischen.
1) Startpunkt setzen: Zuerst die Taste MEMO (18)

drücken und dann während der Wiedergabe
eines Titels die Taste SAM. (19), wenn der ge-
wünschte Startpunkt des Ausschnitts erreicht ist.
Die Taste SAM. blinkt schnell.

2) Endpunkt setzen: Am Ende des gewünschten

Ausschnitts die Taste SAM. erneut drücken. Die
Taste SAM. leuchtet jetzt kontinuierlich.

3) Sampler abspielen: Die Taste SAM. betätigen.

Während der Sampler abgespielt wird, blinkt die

both player mechanisms with the button BPM/
TAP (27) [chapter 5.2.2], then adjust the same
number of beats on both player mechanisms with
the sliding control (see chapter 5.12).

2) Synchronize the beats of the two music pieces

with the buttons PITCH BEND: As long as the
or - is kept pressed, the title is played
16 % faster or slower.

3) A change of speed for matching the beat can also

be made by turning the rotary wheel (21).

5.14 Operation of the sampler

The sampler serves for memorizing and replaying a
title section of up to 40 seconds. The section memo-
rized can e. g. be mixed as a sound effect with any
title replayed.

1) Setting the starting point: First press the button

MEMO (18) and then, during the replay of a title,
press the button SAM. (19) if the desired starting
point of the section is reached. The button SAM.
starts flashing rapidly.

2) Setting the end point: At the end of the desired

section, press the button SAM. once again. The
button SAM. now lights permanently.

3) Replaying the sampler: Actuate the button SAM.

While the sampler is replayed, the button SAM.
flashes slowly. At the end of the sampler replay, it
lights permanently again. The sampler replay can
be stopped at any time by pressing the button
SAM. again.

The sampler can be added while the CD or SD

card is replayed or can be played on its own in
the pause mode.

4) After switching on the CD player, the basic set-

ting for the sampler is always activated (see table
fig. 8). To change this:

a) Turn the control knob SELECT (5) until SAM-

PLE MODE is indicated in the text line (s).

b) Press the control knob SELECT. SP/MIX_VOL

appears in the text line. If required, turn the
knob until the parameter to be changed ap-
pears in the text line.

c) Change the parameter with the control knob

SET (7). The adjustment is indicated in the
field EFFECT (p).

d) Press the control knob SET. The text line dis-

appears.

5) To memorize another title section in the sampler,

repeat the operating steps 1) to 2). The title sec-
tion is memorized until the CD player is switched
off. Therefore, it is also possible to insert another
CD or SD card without deleting the sampler.

Activating Sound Effects

The two integrated effect generators allow activation
of the following sound effects separately for each
player mechanism:

1) Use the button EFFECT/TRACK (11) to switch

the function of the numerical keys (10) to the se-
lection of effects. The arrow EFFECT (r) is dis-
played.

2) Activate the desired effect with the numerical

keys (10). The corresponding key lights up. The
effect is deactivated by pressing the key once
again.

The effects No. 1 to 3 can be combined with

the effects No. 4 to 9 (also all three together). The
effects No. 4 to 9 mutually switch over one an-
other.

3) After switching on the CD player, the basic set-

ting for the effects is always activated (see table
fig. 9). To change this:
a) Turn the control knob SELECT (5) until the

effect to be changed is indicated in the text
line (s), e. g. BRAKE MODE.

Taste SAM. langsam. Am Ende der Sampler-
Wiedergabe leuchtet sie wieder kontinuierlich.
Die Sampler-Wiedergabe kann auch vorzeitig
durch erneutes Drücken der Taste SAM. beendet
werden.

Der Sampler lässt sich während der Wieder-

gabe der CD bzw. SD-Karte dazuschalten oder
im Pausenmodus alleine abspielen.

4) Nach dem Einschalten des CD-Player ist immer

die Grundeinstellung für den Sampler aktiviert
(siehe Tabelle Abb. 8). Zum Ändern:
a) Den Drehknopf SELECT (5) so lange drehen,

bis in der Textzeile (s) SAMPLE MODE ange-
zeigt wird.

b) Den Drehknopf SELECT drücken. In der Text-

zeile erscheint SP / MIX_VOL. Den Knopf ggf.
weiterdrehen, bis der zu ändernde Parameter
in der Textzeile erscheint.

c) Den Parameter mit dem Drehknopf SET (7)

ändern. Die Einstellung wird im Feld EFFECT
(p) angezeigt.

d) Den Drehknopf SET drücken. Die Textzeile ist

ausgeblendet.

5) Um im Sampler einen anderen Titelausschnitt zu

speichern, die Bedienschritte 1) und 2) wiederho-
len. Der Titelausschnitt bleibt bis zum Ausschalten
des CD-Players gespeichert. Es kann also auch
eine andere CD eingelegt oder SD-Karte einge-
steckt werden, ohne den Sampler zu löschen.

Klangeffekte aktivieren

Durch die beiden integrierten Effektgeneratoren las-
sen sich für jedes Laufwerk getrennt folgende
Klangeffekte aktivieren:

1. SCRATCH manuelles Drehen eines Plattentellers

beim Betätigen des Drehrads (21)

2. BRAKE

An-/Auslaufen eines Plattentellers
beim Betätigen der Taste

3. REVERSE rückwärts abspielen

4. PHASER

Modulationseffekt mit durchlaufender
Phasenverschiebung

5. FLANGER weiterer Modulationseffekt, intensiver

als PHASER, erinnert an das Starten
