About this Manual
SMART Technologies manufactures two kinds of
Rear Projection
SMART Board
(RPSB): in-wall and cabinet-mounted.
This guide exclusively describes the set up and
use of RPSB 1800 and 1802 cabinet-mounted units.
Documentation for your RPSB 1800 or 1802 includes a
Rear Projection
SMART Board
1800/1802 Quick Setup Guide
that provides a simple, step-by-step description of the
procedures required for completely setting up the cabinet, connecting all internal
wiring, installing the projector and adjusting the projected image. We recommend that
customers experienced with installing similar equipment use the
Quick Setup Guide
. If
you prefer more detailed descriptions of the same procedures, use the present guide.
An
RPSB 1800/1802 Projector Installation Reference List
accompanies the
Quick
Setup Guide
. This list of supported projectors provides important information to assist
you in setting up your RPSB quickly and properly.
Outline of Guide Contents
An initial overview of both the
Rear Projection
SMART Board 1800 and 1802 provides
information on the physical and functional characteristics of these cabinet systems.
Two sections of detailed installation instructions follow the overview, describing the set up,
installation and wiring procedures for both cabinet models. The first section,
The Rear
Projection SMART Board 1800/1802
, describes procedures common to both models that
transform the cabinets from transport to operating position. The second section,
Connecting
Internal Wiring
, describes the procedures for wiring internal components.
Adjusting the
Projected Image
tells you how to adjust the computer image projected onto the SMART Board.
Completing the Installation
provides information on closing the rear of the cabinet and installing
the software that will make the SMART Board a touch-sensitive, interactive device. This
section also tells you how to orient and configure the SMART Board.
The final section provides customer support information.
